It's Hump Day

Press
To compress, extract, squeeze, urge and manufacture. How do you see Press in your space?
Now get your mind out of the gutter. "Hump Day" is a reference to Wednesday. You work Monday through Friday so Wednesday gets you over the hump and the rest of the week is downhill. There..I gave you a "Ruthism" for the day. :) As for my photo prompt of the day...well, it's a pastry press. you roll out your dough, press lightly to cut out the little circles and then you add whatever kind of filling your going to use on one piece, put the other on top, line them up and then press down again, but harder and it seals it into a little pocket or pie or whatever you want to call it.
I won't bore anyone with my constant whine about the weather. what's the use. I live in the stinkin' desert and it's to be expected. When you live here you learn to go from air-conditioned space to air-conditioned space as quickly as possible. The biggest decision you have to make is...."Hhmmm, is going to (insert name here) really worth getting into a boiling hot car and taking a good 5-10 minutes for the car to cool off only to get out again and start all over?" Here in Vegas, you either do all your errands early in the morning or at night after the sun goes down. It's still hot at night but at least you don't have the sun blaring down. Ohh, I guess I did whine about the weather again after all. hehe. Sorry 'bout that. Have a wonderful day everyone and I'll catch up with you tonight when I get home. Hugs.

I love your take on press and milk. Both great shots. I love baking but I have not used that pastry press before. I'm gonna have to look out for one! Thanks for those pics!

I've never seen a press like that - only a wavy circle cutter for things like tarts and mince pies. But then I don't cook.. Like the photos though :o)

Love your pastry cutter - I have one I got from the Pampered Chef when my son was little he'd have formed PB&Js. I totally know what you're talking about weather wise...AZ was so hot during the summer.

That is such a novel little item. I can think of dozens of tasty fillings. I must look out for one when we are on holiday. Any idea if the big supermarkets will have such a thing?
