Tip Toe Through The Tulips

It's Tulips on Tuesday around here. The HS-MS prompt was "T" and and I chose "tulip". How original, eh? Nothing much exciting going on in this part of the world today. We're about as exciting as they get, sorry to say. It's pretty much go to work, come home, eat dinner, clean up, walk the dogs and go to bed and read before we pass out listening to the news. Now the weekends are a hoot. Sometimes we go OUT to eat. WoooHooo. PLUS...we clean house and do other household chores. We're just a wild and crazy family. Watch out.
It cooled off a bit today. I think the high was only 109. Dang, get out the coats and mittens kids cuz that's definitely a cold spell comin' through. Break out the hot chocolate and heavy socks.
I guess the funny part about all of this constant whining and complaining about the heat is that everyone I know does it too. We all live here, we KNOW it's going to be miserable and horrendous and yet we say stupid things like, "Can you believe how hot it is today?" Well duhh, we live in THE DESERT what do you expect??? It's July. July is hot. This has nothing to do with global warming. It's the desert in the summer time. Perhaps the sun has fried off enough of our brain cells that we can't think of anything but the heat and how to possibly get some relief from it. It doesn't even really cool off all that much at night. The only difference is that it's dark and hot.
Oh what I wouldn't give for some wonderful earth soaking rain. I swear I would go out and dance in the street if it would pour down. If it does...I'm going to take pictures and show you what a desert storm looks like.
With that...I'm off to work on a little book I'm making for my nephew. I took a million pictures of him when we were there in May and I'm writing a little story about my going to visit him and all the fun things we got to do together that day. So far I really like the way it's going.
It's morning for you UK ladies by now, so have a great day and I hope to see some of your pictures later on.
