Bloom
A period of greatest beauty, find 'bloom' in your space today.
This is from my backyard. I have a little rose garden on the side of the house that gets the least amount of sun and they thrive there. We pretty much have roses from early spring all the way to January sometimes. I've had roses on Christmas and it always surprises me when that happens.
I have a few things in the works this week that I'm waiting around for. The first one is this job I'm hoping to get. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I hear about that one today. The second is that I just mailed off some photo submissions to a greeting card company. When I talked to them last week I was told they only pick 10 out of over 3,000 that they receive so my chances are slim but I figured I didn't have anything to lose by trying so I sent them off. It may be a few weeks before I hear about that one. Hmm, I wonder if they take the time to let you know they didn't choose you?
Off to get ready for work and all I really want to do is go curl up on the couch with a blanket and watch old movies while snuggling with the dogs and snoozing off and on all day. Dang...I need to win the lottery.

my favorite!
Oh that's just beautiful :O) Good luck with the job Ruth and as far as the cards are concerned, you have to be in it to win it :O) Best of luck with that too xXx
Beautiful rose! Thanks for the comment left on my blog - you're welcome to come and visit my garden any day (but I don't think it's that wonderful - perhaps the photos make it look better than it is!)
That is such a pretty rose! I hope you get that job you want too.
Oh that's my favorite flower well done
Very pretty rose. Simply beautiful :)
Fingers crossed you get the job.
And you are correct. Nothing ventured nothing gained. Do you know "they" say that most people keep going but give up when they are nearly there?
Keep going. Keep positive. Good Luck.
Love the dew drops/rain on the petals.
Beautiful rose, love the water dropslets on the petals, I've never had much success with rose bushes.
Fingers crossed you get the job and good luck with the cards too

The purple flower on my blog is on a tree/shrub called Buddliea (not sure about the spelling though!)
