It's going to be a very busy day today. Last August Betina came to live with us. She was behind in school and after getting her re-registered back in high school, we still were not sure if she would be able to graduate or not. She had regular high school from 8am-2pm and then I would pick her up and take her to another campus where she would go to night school until 8:30pm. This would be a grueling schedule for anyone, much less a 17 year old girl. But she did it. Knowing all along that if she failed one class, she would not be able to graduate. She persevered and while she grumbled from time to time, today is the day we get to celebrate all her hard work and dedication. Today is graduation day. I am so proud of her. AND...it's also her 18th birthday!! So, how cool is that???? I switched my day off so I could be home and I'm going to start hanging the crepe paper as soon as I finish this. Graduation isn't until 3 this afternoon, so that gives plenty of time to take some pictures and enjoy the day. I'll post more pictures and do my HS:MS prompt later in the day.
