Happy Labor Day

This is the second time I've tried to post this. The first one was eaten by the internet monster. Yes, I am still having ridiculous internet connection problems. In fact, my son just worked on it for at least half an hour and connected it to another cable in the house so I'm able to get online, but it's at dial up speed. Hey, I'll take it. Gawd, who would have thought that I would be practically having a nervous breakdown because I can't get my internet to work. Sick I tell you, sick.
So... this is my photo for the word "Fall" We finally had some rain last week and it even flooded pretty heavily in some parts of the valley too. It rains so seldom that the earth is really hard and a nice gentle rain has time to soak in and do us some good. This particular rain on the other hand was a gully washer that came down so quickly it just ran off. This photo was taken about 5 minutes after it started raining. See how deep it is aleady? That's just from all the run off.

Today is Labor Day which means no banks, no mail, no school....and most importantly NO WORK!!! erm, someone who shall remain nameless just called me all the way from the UK and actually thought I made it up. LOL I really is a real holiday but there are no presents involved. Hmmm, maybe I should do something about that. Start a new trend. Anyway, it was a labor filled day for me and I haven't used such terminology since I was in childbirth labor. I made scrumptious pineapple upside down cakes, cleaned the bedroom, did some laundry and of course tried to get on the internet about 27 million times. Ahh, such is life. Better post this before I lose this one too. Later taters.
