Memorial Day

For many Americans Memorial Day is the start of the summer season. We have bar-b-ques, swim parties, and have an extra day off from work and school. But I hope that at some point during this weekend we all stop for just a few seconds to think about what this day really means. I hope that we remember those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our country. It matters not how you view America's conflicts past or present, our citizens have died doing what they felt was their duty.
As the proud daughter of a United States Marine, I would like to offer my heartfelt thanks and my respect to all those who have served our country.

And to my dad....

Semper Fi Sgt. Major Raymond Sumpter. I love and miss you every minute of every day.
