E-I-E-I-O

I woke up this morning thinking...no, KNOWING it was Thursday. I was sooo happy. Just think, only 2 more working days!! It wasn't long until reality set in and I wasn't sure if I wanted to scream or poke my eyes out with a sharp stick. The latter wasn't really an option as there were no sticks sharp or otherwise within reach.
So I did what bazillions of us all over the world do....I got my sorry self up and went to work. I tried to do the "at least you HAVE a job" little talk with myself but today it didn't work. Normally when I say that to myself I think, "yeah...I do. that's right. I should be thankful for that". Not today. I grumbled, "Yeah, well anyone who wants it can have it!" I was fine by the time I actually arrived at work. It's just getting there some days that is the hardest part for me.

I'm thinking of doing something I haven't done in years...go down to the Las Vegas strip at night and take pictures. I'll see if I can bribe someone to be my assistant and drag them along with me. It'll be fun watching the tourists. Hmmm...what can I bribe Scott or one of the kids with?

My letter for the day was "E" and I chose a photo of the Eiffel Tower that I took on a trip a few years ago. I knew a woman who worked for an airline and she got me a buddy pass to fly to Paris with her for 24 hours. My entire family thought I was completely insane to do such a thing but hey..it cost me less than $150 to fly from here to Atlanta, and Atlanta to Paris. I got to stay in the hotel with her for free and I had a little less than 24 hours to see Paris. Scott and I had been to Europe on our honeymoon a million years ago and believe it or not, we had not even gone to the Eiffel Tower. (bad experience with a taxi driver, suffice it to say) So, I knew I wanted to ride the Metro and see the Eiffel Tower for sure. I got to do that and more. It was so much fun to walk around the streets of Paris and see how many places we could see in one day. I took over 700 pictures and had the time of my life and I would do it again in a heartbeat if I could.

The sun is finally setting...gonna go see who I can round up to take a little photo trip with me. This isn't going to be easy as it's still hot and none of us are really in to the Vegas scene. The lights are cool though so we'll see what happens.

Holy Cow Ruth.. I never knew you felt that way about work!... Ha Ha Ha. Just Joking. I am right there with you. I often feel like I just live the same day over and over and over again! Well, when the
B SPEC (aka Bridal Spectacular) is over we should go and play. I'm totally down with going to the strip and taking pics... I need to learn how to use my camera.. I'll be your ass-istant...ha ha ha!

We all think you are insane. This should come as no surprise to you though. Deb

Brilliant pic and what a great opportunity your friend gave you. You can bribe me to come and caddy for you whilst you shoot the strip, but you will have to get me over to you first, mwahaahahaha.
