Top Dollar Tuesday

Hold
To grasp, carry or support with your hands. Find 'hold' in your space.

Betina snapped a quick shot of me holding my little guy, Rusty. He's so sweet. Love me some wiener dogs.

And here I am holding what ended up costing me a small fortune today. Scott got me an appointment to see the chairman of the Internal Medicine department at the med school who happens to be a pulmonary specialist. I'm happy to report that I do indeed have more than 2 weeks to live. I had my doubts, let me tell you. He wrote me a couple of prescriptions and this one little inhaler....WITH my insurance cost me $84.00 or 61.6Euros or 41.7GBP. I almost had an asthma attack right then and there when I was told how much my co-pay was. I told the guy I wasn't buying a 7 year supply...just an itty bitty little inhaler. He apologized profusely but obviously he couldn't do anything about it. Now the other drug... Oxycodone, only cost 5 bucks. Go figure. I could go down to any school yard in the city and sell those little jewels for 5 bucks a piece. Not that I would DO a think like that...I'm just sayin'. So... the Oxy is to help me get some much needed sleep and to supress my coughing. The steroid inhaler is to reduce the inflammation in my wicked lungs and allow me to breathe. I'm just glad he decided to wait until I'm fully recovered to run any other tests....criminy. I'm just waiting for Scott to say that was my birthday present. HA! Just kidding...hhmm, on second thought I better not remind him about that. ssshhhh....I'm hoping for a new flash for my camera. I was an idiot and loaned mine out to someone a few years ago and never got it back. Who doesn't return something like that???? Obviously the same kind of person who borrowed all my albums in college and never returned them. So if you're the person who has my "Peter Frampton Comes Alive" album, email me and I'll let you know how to return it.

Love the dog and the photo. The next one is indeed an 'expensive' photo, but so necessary for your health

Fab picture. I thankful that even though the NHS is not perfect...at least we don't pay as much for meds. Take care and I hope it helps you to feel better and get some sleep.

What a beautiful pooch! Ouch, to the expense of the meds, but so worth it.
